My name is Erika Peterson, and I am a Journalism and Communications major at Wartburg College with concentrations in Sports Media and Public Relations. I am also a member of the Women’s Wrestling team, where I competed during the program’s inaugural season and contributed to two top-three academic team finishes. I have an eager-to-improve attitude and love to learn.

I have always been drawn to the world of creative media, and I began pursuing that passion during my freshman year at Wartburg College. Since then, I have developed a wide range of skills in photography, videography, graphic design, content creation, and project management.
Wrestling has also been a major influence in my life. With more than seven years dedicated to the sport, I’ve gained firsthand experience in resilience, discipline, and consistent hard work. Being part of wrestling sets me apart. Not only because of the intensity the sport demands, but because it has taught me how to embrace growth, adapt, and continuously push myself to learn more.
